Aviva Labs believes that the partnership between salon and spa
owners does not end with a sale, it is an on-going process of
coaching and education that builds success.Opened in November 2009, the Aviva Labs Beauty
and Health Academy will offer international
certification as part of the
Aviva Labs Sunless
Tanning Certification Series.Additionally, they will offer an ongoing curriculum of
courses that encompass the entire scope of our industry, from
business building, retailing & merchandising, waxing, esthetics,
etc.It will be a
base where collaborators, evangelists and other Aviva Labs
community members can congregate to share ideas, seek guidance,
learn business-building strategies, as well as, hone vital
industry skills.
“Our industry has seen remarkable change over the
past decade and the entire model of manufacturer, distributor,
salon and spa to consumer channel is evolving. We believe
a real partnership entails helping salon and spa customers grow
their business, achieve greater profits and increase client
satisfaction. It will take ongoing learning,
determination, an inherent sense of trust and mutual respect for
each other - our academy will be the foundation for this new
partnering style,” explains Mitch Bloom, founder, Aviva Labs.
“True health is more than just using great products.
It’s about sharing the knowledge: How do they work?
When to apply? How to apply? Why these ingredients?
Many manufacturers have this knowledge, but they lock it up in
the castle and throw away the key. They withhold this
information from the very people who need it most.
Education is the key to unlocking the best health from skincare,
the best practices to run business and the secrets to go from a
mediocre spa to a spa people aspire to be. As a
company with an unwavering focus on health, we felt that being
open and transparent with this knowledge was not just the right
thing to do, but a requirement for true partnership.
So, establishing a training academy was just a natural
extension, a way to build this relationship with our customers
and offer them the skills and knowledge they need to exceed,”
adds Bloom.
“I didn’t start Aviva Labs to be a skincare company, I
started Aviva Labs to deliver health and well being to the
world. By coupling skincare with comprehensive education
through our new academy, we enable our customers to deliver
health and well being to their clients. In essence, what
we are really selling is a good night’s sleep for salon and spa
owners,” concluded Bloom.
