Faking It

Let’s get one thing clear — I’m a sun lover. It’s probably very 1979 of me, but I feel better when I’ve got a bit of color. These days though, the only tan I’ll be getting is a faux one. The sun spots, wrinkles and damage from catching a few gammas just isn’t worth it.

Recently, Aviva Labs Australia together with Alex Fevola and the gorgeous girls at Runway Room, invited me to get my kit off and trial their spray tan. It is hypoallergenic and free from oil, alcohol and artificial fragrances. Plus, Aviva’s Spray Tan contains fewer ingredients than other sunless tanners – Which is always a good thing because who wants chemical overload to go with their golden glow?!

The result? Well I was thrilled! As it’s the middle of winter and I’m lily white, I opted for a light tan. I wanted to keep things looking subtle rather than tandoori-inspired and got exactly what I was after. Of course, if you’re chasing a more bronzed look, Aviva can also achieve this. The color was even, natural and warmed my skin tone enough to carry off a chartreuse frock for a night out. A week later and it’s fading really well…oh, and I’m still getting compliments which is always a good sign!
