Will Atlas rub off on my client’s outfits, or when they use a body glaze?
Atlas is designed specifically to endure the rigors of competition. It should not rub off while changing outfits, posing, or when prepping with a body glaze. In addition, Atlas has been designed to look amazing under any lighting condition, whether natural or artificial. When your client is receiving their Atlas bronzer, there are still a few rules that we recommend they follow to achieve the best results possible:
- No drawstrings, no tight belts: Because it is a bronzer, it is important not to wear super tight belts, drawstrings, or tight socks so that you don’t leave an imprint in the color.
- Don’t shower after you get Atlas: this is a bronzer only solution. It will wash off in the shower!
No Shaving: Do not shave after Atlas Bronzer is applied. Doing so will significantly affect your tan!
Should my spray tan technique be different when spraying for a fitness competition?
Yes, your technique should be slightly different than how you normally spray tan. Use slower strokes than you would when conducting a standard spray tan; you want a more defined, sculpted look rather than a lighter, subtle touch. Be sure to use two coats of a medium-to-dark spray tan solution as a base (we recommend Gimme Brown or Honolulu), but be careful to avoid going too heavy around the underarms and the face so that the tan doesn’t looked caked on or clumpy-looking. As always, make sure the tan looks even!
I sprayed a client with Atlas and he wants to go darker, what should I do?
With Atlas, this isn’t a problem at all! Because it is a bronzer, Atlas Competition Bronzer can be applied as needed with no fear. For best results we do recommend that you allow the solution to dry before applying another coat, but the drying time is only a matter of seconds. Another great feature of Atlas is that it can go the other way too: if your client sees the result and wants to go lighter, simply have them wash off and spray them with less once they are dried and prepped!
