What is a rapid solution?
A rapid spray tan solution is designed to give you the same beautiful final tan result as a traditional solution, but with a much shorter set time!
- Solution is applied to the skin and remains on the skin for a duration of 30 minutes to 6 hours
- It offers convenience of not having to wait 8+ hours to return to normal routine
Apply the Solution
Apply two light coats of solution using 1oz per coat (about 2oz total for a full-body tan).
- Light, even coats help ensure even coverage and avoid oversaturation.
Determine the Rinse Time
Use the chart below as a guide. Set time depends on Fitzpatrick skin type and desired tan darkness.
- The longer the solution stays on the skin, the deeper the resulting tan will be.
- During this set time, avoid moisture, sweating, friction, skin-to-skin contact, and products.
Rinse
Client showers at the determined time using lukewarm water only or Aviva Shower Glow Body Wash.
- After rinsing off the cosmetic bronzer, the developed tan will not be visible immediately.
Let It Develop
- The tan continues to develop over the next 12–24 hours.
- Color gradually deepens into the final result.
Resume Normal Routine
- Start moisturizing 12-24 hours post-spray (hydrated skin = longer-lasting tan).
- Resume normal soap showers, makeup & skincare 24 hours post-spray.

Traditional Solutions
What is a traditional solution?
A traditional spray tan solution—also known as an overnight solution—is designed to develop gradually over a longer set time. It delivers a rich, even tan by allowing the solution to remain on the skin for 8–12+ hours before rinsing.
- Solution is applied to the skin and remains on the skin for a duration of 8 to 12 hours
- Traditional solutions are formulated with varying percentages of DHA to achieve difference levels of tan darkness
Apply the Solution
Apply two light coats of solution using 1oz per coat (about 2oz total for a full-body tan).
- Light, even coats help ensure even coverage and avoid oversaturation.
Let the Solution Set
Let the solution set overnight for 8–12 hours.
- During this set time, avoid moisture, sweating, friction, skin-to-skin contact, and products.
Rinse
- Client showers after 8–12 hours using lukewarm water only or Aviva Shower Glow Body Wash.
- After rinsing off the solution and cosmetic bronzer, the majority of the developed tan will be visible.
- Tan may deepen slightly and reach peak darkness level at 24 hours.
Resume Normal Routine
Resume normal soap showers 24 hours post-spray.
- Resume normal makeup & skincare.
- Start moisturizing daily (hydrated skin = longer-lasting tan).
Fitzpatrick Scale
The Fitzpatrick scale is a scale developed by an American dermatologist as a way to estimate the response of different types of skin to sun light. It is based off of the amount of melanin present in the skin and its tendency to burn or tan. Types range from 1 to 6, with 1 being the lightest and 6 being the darkest.
