How to get the best sunless tan with Narelle Moyle of Summaglo

Ever tried fake-tanning after a couple of wines? Don’t. Achieving the ultimate glow should only be undertaken with the right preparation. We asked Narelle Moyle, owner of Summaglo Tan & Makeup Bar, how to fix a fake tan gone wrong.
Fast Fix: “Even out a streaky tan with a good bronzing powder of cream that doesn’t contain dihydroxyacetone (DHA, an ingredient that develops the color on your skin),” says Moyle. “This will help to even out your tan until it fades. And don’t apply more fake tan over the top — it will look worse!”
Long-term Plan: “If the tan has gone patchy, soak in the bath for 15 minutes and buff with an exfoliating glove,” she says. “Moisturizing will keep your tan looking fresh, and a tan extender, like Aviva Labs Skin Glow, prolongs color”.
Prevent it: “Exfoliating is really important for an even tan, and be sure to apply moisturizer to elbows, knees and feet before you begin,” Moyle says. “As you apply your tan, do one section of your body at a time. Start with your forearms, then do the top of your arms and so on.”
